Legal Documentation

Last Revision: October 26, 2026 • GDPR Recital 26 Anonymized • Unreal Engine 5 Diagnostic Pipeline

1. Overview & Privacy Commitment

Welcome to Project Exodus, developed by AstroxStudio / AstroxDevz ("we", "us", or "our"). We believe in absolute respect for player privacy. Our core philosophy is built upon Privacy by Design (Zero PII): we do not collect, process, or sell any Personally Identifiable Information.

Strict Zero PII Guarantee

We do NOT collect your real name, email, physical address, IP address, hardware MAC address, or your Steam ID (SteamID64).

2. Anonymous Gameplay Telemetry

To improve game balance, fix procedural level generation issues, and diagnose technical difficulty curves, Project Exodus collects anonymous gameplay telemetry during matches. The data gathered includes:

Category Data Collected Purpose
Player Deaths Player state (Alive / Minibot), cause of death (enemy/hazard), 3D spatial position (X, Y, Z), map name, dungeon seed, and elapsed round time. To generate 3D death heatmaps and identify unbalanced enemy encounters or level design choke points.
Artifacts Scavenged Artifact classification (biological artifacts compressed for biomass vs artifacts granting money) and quantity extracted. To balance artifact spawn rates, biomass compression output, and gear progression economies.
Enemy Captures & Compression Captured enemy class/type, count, and biomass yielded after compression inside the ship. To balance capture difficulty curves and ensure quota progression for The Ark is achievable.
Round Summaries & Quota Total biomass compressed and delivered for The Ark's quota, money accumulated, surviving operatives count, elapsed time vs requested time, and extraction outcome. To evaluate mission difficulty and overall co-op match balance.
Equipment Upgrades Ship armory purchases and gear upgrades bought with money. To verify equipment pricing and upgrade balance without affecting quota metrics.

3. How Player Identity Is Handled (GDPR Recital 26)

All telemetry events are associated exclusively with an ephemeral, locally generated random identifier (UUID v4), such as 4a8f9c2d-8e7a-4211-923f-561b3e94a821, saved in your local user settings. Under Article 4(1) and Recital 26 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), this data is strictly non-identifiable and fully anonymized.

4. Third-Party Analytics Services

We use GameAnalytics (GameAnalytics ApS) and Sentry solely for processing aggregate crash reports and gameplay design metrics. GameAnalytics complies with GDPR regulations and standard European privacy frameworks. Neither we nor our service providers use this data for targeted advertising, marketing, or behavioral profiling across other apps.

5. User Control & Opt-Out

Even though our telemetry contains zero personal data, we provide transparency and user choice. You can enable or disable anonymous telemetry at any time directly within the game's settings menu (Settings > Gameplay > Anonymous Telemetry). When disabled, event transmission is immediately terminated.

6. Children's Privacy

Project Exodus does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Because our systems only capture anonymous game mechanics, no child-identifying data is ever stored.

Project Exodus — Telemetry & Analytics Notice

By playing Project Exodus, you acknowledge that the game collects automated, anonymous gameplay and performance telemetry.

1. What Data is Collected?

The game collects strictly non-personal gameplay metrics to help balance the game and fix bugs, including:

  • Match & Progression Data: Round duration, map name, extraction outcome (success or team wipe), and biomass delivered for The Ark's quota.
  • Gameplay Balance: Enemies and biological artifacts compressed into biomass inside the ship, artifacts scavenged for money, and player death causes.
  • Crash & Error Logs: Technical error dumps to diagnose and resolve game crashes.

2. What We DO NOT Collect

We respect your privacy. Under no circumstances does Project Exodus collect:

  • Personal identifying information (no real names, physical addresses, or financial data).
  • Voice chat or audio recordings (proximity voice chat is processed in real time and is never recorded or stored).
  • Personal files or data from your computer outside the game process.

3. Purpose of Collection

This data is utilized solely by the developer to identify game-breaking bugs, resolve crashes, and balance gameplay difficulty for future updates.
